Asking Alexandria was the brainchild of guitarist Ben Bruce, who initially formed the band in Dubai under different names like “Amongst Us” and “End of Reason.” It wasn’t until Bruce moved back to the UK that Asking Alexandria, as we know it, was born in 2008. From their early days in the bustling metropolis of Dubai to settling in the historic city of York, North Yorkshire, this band’s origins are as eclectic as their sound.

The Sound and Evolution

Known primarily for their metalcore roots, Asking Alexandria has never been afraid to experiment. Their music blends heavy metal, post-hardcore, and even electronicore (yep, that’s a thing). Over the years, they’ve dabbled in hard rock, showcasing their versatility. Imagine headbanging to their aggressive riffs one moment and swaying to a melodic ballad the next. That’s Asking Alexandria for you.
